This development economics course is designed to promote the students’ ability to work as a senior development expert in local and international organizations, researcher, and university academic staff. Accordingly, contents of lecture and supervision covers development theory and its application, field survey methods, data analysis bases on statistical and econometric methods, referee paper writing, and conference paper presentation. Basic theory of development economics and its applications are conducted during first year with an objective of having fundamental knowledge for the consideration of doctoral thesis title. Supervision and guidance for “thesis outline and draft writing” as well as conference paper presentation will be done during the second year. Supervision for the publication of referee papers, preparation of thesis and oral examinations will be provided in final year. As this course is planned to achieve academic training and teaching experiences, the doctoral candidates will be assigned as teaching assistants. |
