Write a historical fiction short story based on a US historical event.  (2-3 pages or 300-1000 words, can but does not have to be typed)

Historical fiction:  based on some US historical event, pretend that you are living during that event or part of that event in some way. PUT YOURSELF IN THE STORY!! Describe your feelings and how the event affects you.

You do not have to be a real historical character yourself (in fact, you don't even have to be human!) but you should include some historical figures and/or dates to capture a realistic feeling on the time.

You can also add illustrations!  Use your imagination!!

NOTE: Everyone must write about a DIFFERENT historical event that we discuss in class. When you decide, you can sign up HERE.
