This page is for 2nd year Writing III students for the weekly typing homework and to demonstrate the pass/fail English typing speed for the class.
Please use this page to time yourself for the weekly typing homework. Here is what you should do, step by step
Take a few moments to think about some ideas on the topic.
Click on the timer "Start" button
Type in the box below about the topic until the timer stops.
When the timer stops, click on the "Count Words" button to find out your word count.
If your word count is high enough, cut and paste the passage into your Word typing file
If it is not, do this again until you can reach the required score for that week
Use Word to check for spelling and grammar mistakes
Add the date, theme and number of words
Mail the file to eibeigakka+type@gmail.com

Typing Test Information
to get a credit in Writing 3, you just be able to type 100 words in 5 minutes. I will inform you by email when you can take the typing test. When it is time, please come to the jisshu corner, tell me you are taking the test and use this page. If you can type over 100 words in 5 minutes, tell me so I can record your name. You can try as many times as you like.
The topics for the typing test are the same as the interview topics for Speaking 3, but you can choose which one you want to use. They are:
Sports
Cars/Driving/Technology
Vacation
Technology
Future Jobs
Relationships/Family
If you don't get the number of words necessary for that week, you need to repeat until you reach that number. Then cut and paste what you wrote into your typing file, correct your mistakes and send it by replying to the message from eibeigakka+type@gmail.com.
