These are the best of the few pictures I took with my digital camera (which, unfortunately, is not of very good quality). There are many other good photos that might be scanned by they will have to wait. Here's what I have at the moment.
Leon is trying to look like a vampire but it doesn't seem to be working here. He's waiting for his adult teeth to come in on top.
Mom often said that she wished Mia would look natural in front of the camera. I think Mom did a good job of catching Mia when she wasn't aware and, therefore, not making weird faces.
I don't think this is a good picture of Leon but it's pretty good of the Onukis (Mariko's parents).
This is an amusement park. They built a Dutch city in Nagasaki Japan! When we were there lots of tulips were in bloom. The weather was nice and everything looks great.
In the theme park there was a place where girls and women could put on fancy clothes and (for a rather high fee) have their pictures taken. I haven't scanned the picture that they took for us yet. These are some that they let us take outside with our own cameras.
Mia really loves to dress up. We often have trouble getting her ready for school in the morning because she has very definite (and often impractical) ideas about what she wants to wear. She was very happy to try on this dress and pretend to be a princess.
When the Onukis were with us we borrowed at large car (Estima [sp?] by Toyota), but otherwise we used our new "hybrid" (gas and electricity) Prius.
This picture was taken Wednesday afternoon, the day before Mom's return. Mom was with us for a while at the playground but felt a little cold and walked home.
