Here are just a few pictures from our trip home. We have more pictures but, believe it or not, these are the best.
I still haven't mastered the process of scanning and preparing pictures for the WEB. The colors aren't very natural looking and the pictures are grainy. What's more, it actually took me quite a while to get even these results. I hope I can do better in the future. (Perhaps part of the problem is that these pictures were scanned -- not taken with a digital camera.)
Right after we arrived in Chicago, we set off to visit Great Grandma Chamblin. It was a real treat to see her. She's an inspiration to us all.
Mia and Leon loved drawing pictures on the sidewalk with the chalk they were given. They also enjoyed having pictures drawn for them, as was the case here. This picture, by the way, was taken at Al and Cindy's lake house.
This picture was taken at DQ on the Monday evening before we left (if my memory is correct -- the date in the lower right-hand corner is the meaningless result of a bad battery).
This picture was taken by Cindy and sent to many of us via e-mail. I touched it up and reduced the size a bit so that it would fit on a homepage.
This picture was taken before we left for the U.S. Mia went with Mariko to a cooking class and was allowed (under careful supervision) to participate.
