This class is your class. We are ready to help you fulfill your goal of becoming truly
proficient in English!

*Vocabulary and Reading Hayashi

The purpose of the vocabulary class is to help students learn frequently used words in
TOEFL and increase their vocabulary through Power Words exercise. Students are expected
to memorize assigned vocabulary. A vocabulary test will be given in each class.

For this section of the honors class, students will be introduced to the English Reading
Garden and Extensive Reading, Students will also set up a weblog and will be encouraged to
record their thoughts about their reading and studies.

*Presentations and International Activities Yoneoka

In this part of the class, you will learn about your school, your city and yourself. In a
first step towards developing translation/interpreting skills as well as volunteer spirit,
you will be taking exchange students to various places on and off campus and explaining about
them in English.

We will also practice presentations in class by using the following podcast



If you have an Ipod OR an MD player OR a keitai that plays music files (like mine) you can DOWNLOAD and listen to these in your free time.
