A. You want to buy a some apples and oranges.
B. You are a salesperson at a greengrocer.
Look at the conversation below. How was be different? Did you use ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ as much?
- A: Good morning. Can I have a kilo of apples and two oranges, please?
- B: Right. Terrible weather isn't it?
- A: Miserable. It's good for the garden though.
- B: Here you are. Anything else?
- A: Ah yes please, er ... a kilo of potatoes, please.
- B: That will be four pounds twenty, thank you.
- A: (gives money)
- B: Thank you. (gives change)
- A: Thank you very much.
- B: Thank you. Bye.
