What do you think of smokers? Do you agree or disagree with smoking? There are advantages and disadvantages for smokers. I disagree with smoking. I have three opinions.
The first is that it is harmful to the body. There are three amounts of harmful substances contained in one cigarette. The first is nicotine, which causes stress on the heart such as increased blood pressure and increased heart rate.Once you start smoking, you can't quit even if you try to quit. This is because the drug component called nicotine contained in cigarette smoke is repeatedly absorbed by the body, and when nicotine runs out, the body becomes in a state of wanting it. This is the state of "nicotine dependence".In fact, smoking makes you feel irritated and refreshed. This happens because smoking supplies nicotine and eliminates nicotine withdrawal symptoms. However, when the nicotine concentration in the blood becomes low, frustration and discomfort increase again. This is caused by the formation of nicotine dependence. The second is tar, which contains carcinogens, which promotes the development of cancer and causes the lungs to darken. The third is carbon monoxide, which interferes with the transport of oxygen and causes a heavy burden on the internal organs. It has also been shown that smoking increases the risk of many illnesses by oxidizing the body. It is said to have an adverse effect not only on lung cancer and pneumonia, but also on stroke and myocardial infarction lifestyle-related diseases.
The second is the harm to the surroundings due to second-hand smoke. Not only the smoke smoked by smokers, but also the smoke rising from cigarettes and the smoke exhaled by smokers contain many harmful substances as well as nicotine and tar. Passive smoking means that the person inhales the smoke around him without smoking.According to the results of estimating the number of excess deaths for four diseases, lung cancer, ischemic heart disease, stroke, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), whose association with second-hand smoke was determined to be "certain" , about 1 per year in Japan. As many as 5,000 people have died from second-hand smoke, and the health effects are serious.
The third is a waste of money and time. According to the "Survey on Tobacco and Smoking Cessation (conducted in April 2018)" conducted by Macromill, Inc., the average monthly tobacco bill is "9,247 yen", which is close to 10,000 yen. The result is that. The average annual spending on tobacco is over 110,000 yen. And "time" is also wasted. Let's assume that the time to take a break while smoking a cigarette is "1 cigarette = 10 minutes". If you smoke 20 cigarettes a day, you will spend 200 minutes (= 3 hours and 20 minutes) unproductive time of smoking only cigarettes. Smokers are wasting money and time.
Therefore, these three opinions, I disagree with smoking. I think smokers need to be aware of the harm caused by cigarette. We should know the benefits of quitting smoking. I hope the number of smokers will decrease even a little.
