This is the birthplace of the Miyazaki brothers, who are famous for promoting democracy in Japan. The site has three buildings in total; a museum, the home of the brothers, and the outhouse. With the exception of the museum all buildings are over one hundred years old. Each has a white washed exterior and a thatched roof. They are in a traditional Japanese style and are surrounded by a beautiful Japanese garden.

Of the twelve siblings, four of the Miyazaki brothers helped aid the Meiji revolution. The brothers aided Sun Yat-sen in building a more peaceful and safe China. The combination of their acts was vital in creating fair and just land rights for China.

Hachiro, the oldest brother became the leader of the Kumamoto Free Civilization party. He displayed great leadership qualities, but unfortunately was killed in the Seinan War at the age of 27. The sixth brother, Tamizo, was famous for saying 'Tenpu Kinkyo Ron', which means, 'land belongs to all, not just the rich'. He traveled the world as a messenger for the poor. He worked hard to build the Equal Lands Rights party, but in the end his plan for the reorganization of land ownership did not work.

Later, he became a follower of China`s great Sun Yat-sen. Like their elder brother, Yazo and Tohten wanted to aid China in its quest for peace. The eighth brother Tohten, dedicated his life to the cause, he helped Sun Yat-sen and succeeded in starting a new revolution. Sadly, Toten died in 1922 on December 6th at the age of 53 without having experienced the new peaceful China.
