I was born in Amakusa, Kumamoto and lived there until junior high school. The reason why I left my parents after high school was because of the "track and field" competition that I am still involved in. I have experienced many things in the 11 years I have been competing in track and field. I would like to look back on these experiences and think about what kind of life I have led and what I should do in the future.
I started track and field when I was in the fifth grade of elementary school. My brother, who is nine years older than me, also runs track and field, and I have been watching his competitions since I was a child. Influenced by this, and also because I was good at running, I decided to take up track and field in earnest. I was unbeatable in my hometown, winning every competition, and I thought I was the fastest. My coach at the time asked me if I would like to participate in a competition in Kumamoto, and I decided to give it a try. I vividly remember the size of the stadium and the fact that there were many people who looked fast. I entered the 100m race and started running at the sound of the pistol. In the first half of the race, I was leading my opponents, but in the second half, the gap was reversed and I lost the race. It was then that I realized that there were people who were faster than me. After that, I decided to take track and field seriously in junior high school and aim for the top.
As I entered junior high school, I used the frustration I felt at that time as a springboard to practice hard every day. However, not long after I entered the school, I suffered a serious injury. I was injured for six months and could not run for a long time. During this time, I did muscle training and worked hard to improve my basic physical strength, and as I recovered from the injury, I gradually improved my condition. His first competition in junior high school was in Kumamoto in his second year of junior high school. It was a big tournament, so I was even more determined to compete. The result was a victory, and I was happy. Since then, I have participated in many tournaments and won each time. My condition and competitiveness have been improving. However, for the second time in his life, he suffered a serious injury. It was around June of my third year of junior high school. I was practicing for the start dash, and as usual, I took off as fast as I could. I felt a stretching sensation at the base of my thigh, and gradually started to feel pain. I was worried and went to the hospital, where I was given an unexpected diagnosis. The diagnosis was a broken bone. One year to recover. I was speechless. This injury ended my track and field career in junior high school.
After graduating from junior high school, I left my hometown and entered a high school in the city to learn more about track and field. I couldn't run until the summer of my freshman year due to a broken bone. I started running in the fall, and came in fourth place in my first meet. After that, he had a series of far from winning results in competitions. Why is there no record? I thought about it all day. Why is that? It was a lack of muscle strength. Lack of muscle strength makes it easy to get injured and weakens the ability to grasp the ground. As you can see, lack of muscle strength has many negative effects in athletics. After finding out the cause of the problem, I started to train my muscles every day whenever I had free time. No matter how much fun the people around me are having. After three months of training, I was starting to see results, and I was feeling that my speed and technique were improving. Then, in the fall of his second year of high school, he won the tournament that would lead to the Kyushu Tournament if he won.
I was able to prove that the reason for my weakness was that I lacked muscle strength.
After graduating from high school, I entered university and am now working as an independent athlete. My track and field career has been a tumultuous one, with injuries occurring just as I was getting better, and repeating them over and over again. In my opinion, it is a lack of muscle strength each time. And it also means that I can still improve. I would like to continue to work hard while balancing my studies in order to get even better.
