Which phrase do you like better A pot of stew or A melting pot?

 I like a pot of stew better because I think it is important that everyone remember their own culture and identity.

I learned "a melting pot" as "salad bowl." The reason is almost same as "pot of stew." What do you think?

 Yes, you're right! Salad bowl and pot of stew have the same meaning.

 My ex-boss was a German Jew who immigrated from Germany. Once he told me that the "Holocaust" was his story!

What can you speak? I take Mr. Okamura's class, but can you speak Spanish?

 I studied French and German in university, but I speak some Spanish too because many people speak Spanish in Los Angeles.

is there any american traditional food i should eat before i die?? What's your recommend Amerian foods?

 hmm...Christmas ham, maybe. It's very delicious!

 NO........When I was in high school, my French teacher cured me of that!

do you think USA is the best in the world? i heard that people who lives in USA thinks so.

 I think many people think so, especially because they are proud of democracy. But certainly not everyone!

do you like anglo saxon? Why do they call anglo-saxon?

 I am an Anglo-Saxon. In fact, I am a "wasp". I like ALL people! The people who originally came to England from Germany were called the Angles and the Saxons.

Have you confused pronunciation between American English and British English?

 No, I can tell the difference. But sometimes I can't understand British dialects.

Have you been to Britain? Do you know British English? Can you speak British English?

 Yes,I have! Yes, I do! No, I can't!

which accent do you like better british or american?

 There are many accents in each dialect.  Perhaps of all, I like Southern American best. It sounds "feminine" to me.

What do you think about history of segregation? Why do White higher than Blacks? What do you think the problem of Black? What do you think about Blacks and Whites? What do you think about discrimination?

 I think humans must be very careful because discrimination is VERY hard not to do! 

Is there still discrimination in America?

 There is no more LEGAL discrimination, but there is still personal discrimination, like the next question.

I have asked an American exchange student "Do you like Obama?" and he said "No, because he is black." I was so surprised! Are there many people who thinks like him in America?

 Yes, unfortunately.

 NO!

 Yes, in Los Angeles, several times.

 1968.
