FLED 101 DEVELOPING COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE in ENGLISH
Classwork with application follow-ups to develop effective language use in formal and informal situations. Focus on information-gap, opinion activities, role plays, group discussions and other message-oriented tasks. Communication is the focal point of the course, since it aims at improving teacher candidates' oral competence.
The fled 101 instructor is a Canadian scholar already exprimenting different modes of communication with her students.
Both classes meet from September to the end of December.

FLED 103 English Composition Leyla Marti
This course aims to introduce the basic writing skills for writing various types of academic essays. It also gives extensive writing practice from paragraph to essay both as class work and application follow-ups.
