Mechanics

1. Did you word process your file using Word software?

2. Is your report printed on A4 paper?

3. Are your pages numbered?

4. Are your papers stapled together?

5. Do you have a title page, with a title that clearly reflects the content of your paper?

6. Does your title page include the following information?

	Your name, Your student number, Title of paper, Course name, Professor's name, Date, Word count

7. Is your report approx. 15-25 pages long including notes and bibliography?

8. Are your paragraphs indented 3-5 spaces?

9. Is your report 3200-4000 words?

10. Is your report double spaced?

11. Are your margins sufficient? (2 -- 3 cm)

12. Did you use a spell checker to correct your spelling?

13. Did you use phrases such as “I think…” and “I want…” as little as possible?

(You can use “It is believed that…” or “The author believes that…” instead, or just omit them!)

WORLD ENGLISHES演習卒業論文GUIDELINES

 以下に注意して、論文を作成すること

1、 内容はWorld Englishes にに関すること。

2、 指導教員の指導を受けながら卒業論文の研究を行う。

3、 卒論の最終テーマは指導教員と相談の上決定する。

4、 日本語あるいは英語のどちらかで執筆すること。但し日本語の場合は、英語

の自動翻訳を添える。

5、 論文の長さは、和文の場合は、12,500~16,000字、提出はワープロ打ち出 しで、横 書きA4版9枚~12枚程度、英文の場合は3,200~4,000 words、A4 

版で、16枚から24枚程度。

6、 日本語論文には英語の、英語論文には日本語の「要約」(abstract)を付 ける。 (英語の場合は100~150 words、 日本語の場合は400~600字程度)

7、 最終提出の際は指導教員の指導を受け、指定された日時までに担当指導教 員に提出。締め切り日は、2010年12月24日、午後5時。締切り厳守。

8、発表は2010年1月11日の最終授業で行う。必修。

9、中間提出日、毎月の末尾になる。必修。
