My goal is to further research economic growth and eventually teach at a university

I graduated from KGU’s Faculty of Economics. While I was an undergraduate, I studied economic theory under Professor Tomoya Sakagami. Professor Sakagami specializes in researching economic growth, and it was under his tutelage that I also took an interest in the same field and decided to delve further into its study by enrolling in graduate school. The first thing I realized when entering grad school was how useful and well-maintained the library is – it provides a variety of literature and the latest academic research in a wide selection of academic fields. Our personal study rooms are comfortable and provide an excellent environment for concentrating and focusing on studying. As an undergraduate, my thesis was on educational systems and economic growth using the overlapping generations model. As a graduate student, my goal is to delve deeper into this topic, and I’m currently using empirical methods to research the relationships between human capital accumulation and economic growth through the differences in public and private education. After I get my master’s, I’m planning to go on to a doctorate to continue my research. I’m also thinking about studying abroad at a university in the US, and would afterwards like to teach at a university.
